DAY 01 - LIMA
Arrival in Lima, assistance, and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Lima.
DAY 02 - LIMA
In the morning, visit the "City of Kings." We will start our tour in the Miraflores neighborhood. Our first stop will be the famous Parque del Beso (Kiss Park), an icon of the city with a beautiful view of Lima’s bay. Next, we’ll head to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Historic Center of Lima, full of ancient stories. On the way, we’ll pass by Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid that blends into the modern city. We will then reach Plaza Mayor, surrounded by the Cathedral, the Archdiocese of Lima, the Government Palace, and the City Hall. We’ll enter the Cathedral of Lima, which houses the tomb of conquistador Francisco Pizarro. We’ll cross the Plaza Mayor and visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, a colonial architectural gem where time seems to have stopped. Here, the remains of Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint John Masías rest, all highly revered saints. Inside, we’ll find a great library with books printed in the 15th century. This convent is where the first university in the Americas, San Marcos, was founded. After visiting the center of Lima, we will return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Lima.
Optional Tour: Dinner Show at D'Paso, Larco Museum, Tavern & Magic Water Circuit.
DAY 03 - LIMA / CUSCO
Transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, assistance, and transfer to the hotel. Free morning to acclimate. (Please note: flights should arrive in Cusco by 11:30 AM at the latest.) In the afternoon, we will ascend to the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park, starting with the fortress of the same name, a peaceful place where we can admire the enormous rocks, some as high as 4 meters, used in its construction. We will then visit Q'enqo, an ancient temple of the Puma, with an altar for sacrifices carved into a massive rock, and Tambomachay, sacred sources of life and health. Along the way, we’ll have a panoramic view of Puca Pucará, a lookout point that guarded the city’s entrance. We will also visit the Temple of the Sun at Korikancha, which legend says was entirely covered in gold sheets, stunning the conquerors. To finish, we’ll visit the Plaza de Armas and enter the Cathedral, home to priceless colonial art and paintings, such as the Cross that came with the first conquistadors. Overnight stay in Cusco.
DAY 04 - CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY
Today, we will visit the most important sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will begin in Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque town in the Sacred Valley, known for its female weavers. We’ll make a brief stop at a textile center to observe ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. We will also visit the Inca Plaza and its beautiful colonial church. Next, we’ll head to Moray, a stunning Inca archaeological site composed of concentric agricultural terraces that served as a laboratory to recreate microclimates. After lunch, we’ll visit the last living Inca town, Ollantaytambo. We will tour the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Baths of the Ñusta, and the Temple of the Sun. The views from the heights of Ollantaytambo will end this magical day in the Sacred Valley. Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.
DAY 05 - SACRED VALLEY / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
We will head to the Ollantaytambo train station, where we will board the train to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We will arrive at the Machu Picchu Pueblo station, where our staff will assist us in boarding the transport that will take us up a winding path, offering spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the famous canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will greet us with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial rooms, and urban areas. The energy of the place is palpable. After the guided tour, we will descend to the town for lunch. At the scheduled time, we will return by train and be transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay in Cusco.
DAY 06 - CUSCO / VINICUNCA – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN / CUSCO
Early in the morning, we will begin our journey through the Southern Valley toward Phulawasipata, the starting point of our adventure to Cerro Colorado, also known as Rainbow Mountain, located about 100 km southeast of Cusco. After enjoying breakfast, we will start our hike to the control access point for this mystical place. As we continue our hike, we will witness how the colors around us change due to the climate. We will reach an approximate altitude of 5,000 meters above sea level at the summit of this mysterious mountain. The geological formations will reveal their splendor in contrast with the blue sky, creating a formidable barrier between the coastal desert and the Amazon jungle, dominated by the beautiful Ausangate Snowy Peak. We will enjoy lunch at a countryside restaurant before returning to Cusco. Overnight stay in Cusco.
DAY 07 - CUSCO
